REAL ESTATE CAREERS IN MOOSE JAW

Become a Real Estate Agent in Moose Jaw

Your step-by-step guide to getting licensed in Saskatchewan, and launching your career with a brokerage that actually invests in you.

Thinking about real estate in Moose Jaw? Saskatchewan’s Friendly City has a vibrant, affordable market just down the highway from Regina. Here’s your step-by-step roadmap to getting licensed and launching with a brokerage that helps you grow.

Why Moose Jaw Is a Strong Market

Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan’s Friendly City, is one of the province’s most affordable and active markets, and its position just 45 minutes west of Regina makes it even more attractive for an agent. In 2025 the city recorded 609 residential sales, up 1% from 2024, with the benchmark price finishing the year at $278,925 (an 11% year-over-year gain) and the average price at $273,727 (up 4%). Homes sold in an average of 41 days, inventory averaged 124 units, and supply held at roughly 2.4 months, well below the balanced-market range. The busiest price ranges were $200,000 to $299,999 (about 180 sales), $100,000 to $199,999 (roughly 155 sales) and $300,000 to $399,999 (about 120 sales), which keeps first-time buyers, young families and investors active year round. Prices have posted double-digit gains while sales run at near-record levels, a sign of persistent demand and a tight inventory that rewards agents who can source and move listings quickly.

The Regina proximity is the big advantage. Moose Jaw’s employers – CFB 15 Wing, the hospital and health network, rail and logistics, and a growing manufacturing base – anchor a stable local economy, while the short commute to the capital opens up a wider pool of buyers and sellers. Saskatchewan added over 15,000 jobs in 2025 with strong growth in healthcare and construction, and Moose Jaw’s working-age population and low cost of living keep the market humming.

For a new agent, Moose Jaw offers an unusually friendly entry point: a tight-knit community where word of mouth and repeat clients matter, affordable listings that appeal to a broad base of buyers, and the chance to serve both the Friendly City and the nearby Regina market. With a benchmark price well below the provincial average, the city offers an accessible path for buyers and a steady flow of transactions for agents. It is a place where a committed local agent can build a strong, steady practice.

CENTURY 21 Fusion supports agents across south-central Saskatchewan, so a Moose Jaw licence does not limit you to one city. You can serve local buyers and sellers while also working the Regina corridor, where commuters, investors and relocating families regularly look for value. The brokerage’s training, lead programs and back-office support are designed for exactly that kind of regional practice, helping you turn Moose Jaw’s affordability story into a steady pipeline of deals.

The Path To

Getting Licensed

STEP 1

Complete Your Education

Finish the required Phase 1 and Phase 2 licensing courses through the recognized provincial program.

STEP 2

Meet the Requirements

Satisfy the age, education, residency, language and background-check requirements set by SREC.

STEP 3

Choose a Brokerage

Register with a brokerage that gives you mentorship, training and the tools to actually get going.

STEP 4

Register with SREC

Complete your registration with the Saskatchewan Real Estate Commission and start practising.

Step 1

Step 1: Complete Your Education

Phase 1 – The Foundation. The first step toward becoming a licensed real estate salesperson or property manager in Saskatchewan is completing the introductory course. It covers provincial real estate law, ethics and professional responsibilities, property ownership and title registration, valuation and financing, and the fundamentals of agency and contract law.

Phase 2 – Your Specialization. After Phase 1, you choose the Phase 2 course(s) for your intended area of practice:

  • Residential — Phase 1 + Residential Real Estate as a Professional Career
  • Commercial — Phase 1 + Residential + Commercial Real Estate as a Professional Career
  • Farm — Phase 1 + Residential + Farm Real Estate as a Professional Career
  • Property Management — Phase 1 + Property Management as a Professional Career

English Language Proficiency. Because Saskatchewan real estate education and contracts are in English, you must meet the English Language Proficiency Requirement (ELPR). There are no prerequisites to enrol in Phase 1, but it’s recommended you meet the ELPR before you start.

Step 2

Step 2: Meet Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for real estate registration in Saskatchewan, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Hold a Canadian high-school diploma (or equivalent) or a recognized post-secondary credential
  • Meet the English Language Proficiency Requirement (ELPR)
  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or hold a valid work permit
  • Provide government-issued photo ID and a recent photo for online registration
  • Complete a criminal record check with fingerprint verification

Steps 3 & 4

Steps 3 & 4: Choose a Brokerage & Register with SREC

Step 3 – Choose a Brokerage. Once your education and eligibility are in place, you choose the brokerage you’ll register under. This is one of the most important decisions you’ll make: your brokerage shapes the mentorship, training, systems and support you get as you launch. (More on what CENTURY 21 Fusion offers below.)

Step 4 – Register with SREC. With a brokerage selected, you complete registration with the Saskatchewan Real Estate Commission (SREC) and any final licensing requirements, then you’re cleared to practise.

Already licensed in another province? Agents active within the last two years may qualify through a reciprocity agreement:

  1. Confirm eligibility with SREC.
  2. Obtain reciprocity materials from the UBC Sauder School of Business.
  3. Study the Saskatchewan-specific regulations.
  4. Complete and sign the Declaration Statement.
  5. Submit it with all required documents.
