STEP 4
Register with SREC
Complete your registration with the Saskatchewan Real Estate Commission and start practising.
Step 1
Step 1: Complete Your Education
Phase 1 – The Foundation. The first step toward becoming a licensed real estate salesperson or property manager in Saskatchewan is completing the introductory course. It covers provincial real estate law, ethics and professional responsibilities, property ownership and title registration, valuation and financing, and the fundamentals of agency and contract law.
Phase 2 – Your Specialization. After Phase 1, you choose the Phase 2 course(s) for your intended area of practice:
- Residential — Phase 1 + Residential Real Estate as a Professional Career
- Commercial — Phase 1 + Residential + Commercial Real Estate as a Professional Career
- Farm — Phase 1 + Residential + Farm Real Estate as a Professional Career
- Property Management — Phase 1 + Property Management as a Professional Career
English Language Proficiency. Because Saskatchewan real estate education and contracts are in English, you must meet the English Language Proficiency Requirement (ELPR). There are no prerequisites to enrol in Phase 1, but it’s recommended you meet the ELPR before you start.
